I always remembered Ron Liebman from that movie "Up The Academy" I watched as a kid. I remember, it was like Police Academy but in the army, like "Army Academy", but to my surprise "Up The Academy" came first. From what I remember Ron Liebman's character had a fetish to tickle woman's ass during sex with a feather. Those were such simple times, I must watch that movie again, since I haven't seen it in decades.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Oh no, Rene Auberjonois died. This is hard. I watched him most in DS9 and movie MASH.

Oh, massive bummer about Rene Auberjonois. DS9 owes a great deal of its success to the writers but also to its actors. So many of them absolutely nailed their roles and Rene was one of them. I didn't realize he was so old. I guess all that make-up hid it.
RIP, Odo.

Awful really so many good scenes with that character and so many good quotes

A while back, I watched I am Big Bird and it really had a profound effect on me, especially when Spinney talked about his troubles in the first decade of Sesame Street. I spent some time looking for my old toy Big Bird, and decided to make this:
Note that the little piece I put on the index card is not a verbatim quote, but it does sum up the trials and tribulations he had in his first decade as Big Bird.
