If biblical writers had been divinely inspired by god, wouldn't their writings have matched what we know today according to science?

Why?

Scientific facts are meaningless. If they have any importance or meaning that’s derived from somewhere else, not from the these facts themselves.

If divinely inspired, is to tell us something of importance, why would we expect it to be some set of scientific facts?

I think if the understanding of the word wine is changed then the whole meaning of Jesus turning water into wine also changes.
