I really hate these rinse and repeat Groundhog Day Whack A Mole dodge arguments by firearm worshipers.
"Other bad shit happens" does not mean we should not address firearm violence.
I am glad folks like OLB didn't raise me, I suffer from depression. This is just tons of fear marketing that they absorb to justify their vanity and or insecurities.

The "don't try to fix anything until you can fix everything" school of thought is known properly as "piger cogitandi".

Don't let it worry you. OLB is trying to demolish an argument that informed people don't take seriously.

Exactly. 'We shouldn't attempt to address mass shootings at all because restricting firearms isn't the whole solution.' A face palm argument if ever there was one.

I see lots of self congratulation - which seems odd - considering a total lack of an answer to the question ---
With such easy access to firearms, why isn't Israel's suicide rate much higher than Japan's?
Could it POSSIBLY be that there is no correlation between firearm ownership and suicide rates? (Unlike what the anti- gun crowd has been spewing for years).

There is no such thing as "High capacity video games". There is no such thing as "high capacity mental illness."
There are just greedy firearm CEOs marketing fear in the same way Tobacco hid the health problems of their products.
