1. I didn't bring up my girlfriend or living at the border to say I'm an expert . I brought it up because this issue effects me too even if I don't live at the border anymore .

2. I didn't read stuff I agree with I read stuff that reports on the conditions at the camps , And by the way the assumption I read stuff I agree with is itself ironic because you don't know that what I read . 

3.Again you don't need to be their to read the reports of people who were .

I thought atheists were all for presenting hard evidence. Where is your evidence for these wild accusations?  I only detect hatred  spewing out.

Well, for one thing, the US recently lost a court case after maintaining that they were NOT required to keep detainees in safe and sanitary conditions.  Making a legal argument that you aren't required to provide these people with toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower facilities, soap, towels and blankets certainly seems to make the case that the conditions at the camps are, really and truly, 'by intent and design'.

As a Christian, you should be ashamed of a government that treats children this way.  Matthew 25: 44-45.

"Overwhelmed" means having to deal with a situation that exceeds your resources.  When I was stationed at a particular Air Force Base, there was a huge flood in the area and thousands had to evacuate their homes.  We opened up buildings on the base to accept evacuees.  They were pouring in and we didn't have the resources to provide them with toothbrushes and soap, etc. as they came in. We were basically getting them out of the weather and giving them a place to take refuge.  After a while we were able to provide these things, but we didn't have hundreds or thousands of new people coming in every day.

To be clear, I don't blame border patrol agents for the deplorable sanitary conditions at the camps.  I blame them for being part of a system to allows and encourages these conditions to continue.  That being said, I do blame the agents for the rapes, and for the physical and psychological abuses at the camps.

'Just following orders' didn't work in 1946 and it doesn't work today.
