DUDE GET A FUCKING CLUE, any argument you make here I have fucking heard for the past 35 years. And all they are are because the CEOs and NRA needlessly scared the shit out of you so they could protect the profits of that industry.
ONCE you pull you head out of your ass, if you ever do, you will figure out that liberals DO NOT want a dictatorship for merely wanting a safe society. Why not? Very simple.
It depends on the honest cooperation of a deranged individual.
Consider - when the cops go into someone's house to confiscate guns - how do they know when they have them all? Answer - they have to ask - and trust - the deranged individual in question if they have all the guns.

You think that just MAYBE the guy might have a gun - or 30 stashed somewhere?
Think about this - prisoners in maximum security prisons manage to hide weapons. You think a guy who is free can't manage that trick?
Then also consider - might confiscating some of the guy's guns push him over the edge - and send him out on a killing spree?
Nope. You can't make the world safer by taking away a few guns. You can make it somewhat safer by locking people up.
Are you ready to start locking people up without a trial?
Do you have any objective data on the matter? Or are you just fantasizing out loud?

I think it's a good concept but have some questions about application.

No I am not. I'm happy to listen to you, because you don't have your head up your ass.
But I am sorry, I really do not give a shit about sounding "crazy" or "offending" worshipers.
100 people a day die from use of a firearm. And America is #1 in firearm violence among our allies. I am sick of worshipers saying "Just keep them out of the wrong hands" only to shit their pants when we agree.
It is a different excuse every damned day as to why we shouldn't or cant. And as a result the cycle repeats.
OLB isn't looking for solutions, he is looking for excuses.
Food and cars get recalled when they cause problems. Passenger Jets get grounded after accidents. The firearm industry is the only industry that is not held to the same account when it's products cause injuries and death.
The only reason we have the amount of firearm violence we do is because the CEOs of that industry pay corporate lobbies to protect their profits.

Did you bother to look at the data Mister Agenda linked you to? I’d be curious to know what you think. You seem to enjoy starting threads on particular subjects, but you never seem interested in discussing any of the objective data collected on said subjects. So many of your arguments go like this: “my personal intuition tells me X is obviously true, and I know some people who agree with me. Therefore, I’m right.” Is that your method for determining what is true and what is not?

What if he goes on a killing spree once you try to lock him up? 
You think its a good idea to lock even more people up in the country where the inmates-per-capita ratio is already by far the worst in the civilized world?
Imho it becomes more and more apparent that you are desperately trying to adress the problem of gun violence by not adressing guns and their availiability at all. Of course i agree with (cant remember who it was) the poster who claimed that the problem of violence in general needs to be adressed in the american society.
And while you are pondering , the next idiot is loading up a few magazines and grabs his rifle(s).....
