MLK did what a pussy ass like you could not do. He used his voice without firearms and got murdered for telling the truth by an asshole with a firearm.

You really are a blithering, one track little boy, ain't ya?

The only one here saying " arm more" is you.

I' ve never said "arm more".

I see you completely ignored the fact (it's public record) that MLK applied to carry a gun....

But that' s what you do -- bleat on.ad nauseum the same tired refrain...
.
But glad to see you utilizing all caps..

That really shows commitment....

Great

THEN STOP FUCKING MAKING EXCUSES for the assholes who obstruct any attempts at reducing firearm violence.

AGAIN DIPSHIT, if you are not for "arming more" then stop siding with the industry CEOs who make it impossible to reduce firearm violence.

Again the pattern is the same.

"Its the mentally ill"
"It's violent video games"
"Its the domestic abusers"
"It's the street gangs"
"It's the terrorists"

"Just keep them out of the wrong hands"

FINE IDIOT, then don't shit your pants when I agree.

All of our firearm violence in all its forms is due to ease of access.

We do not need to make firearms like candy and hand them out like candy.

WE SHOULD KEEP THEM OUT OF THE WRONG HANDS DUMBASS!

And the cheapest way to do that is for the CEOs and shop owners to give a shit as to where their products end up at the time of sale, instead of saying "OK" just to make a buck.

Can you re-do the stuff in lower caps in upper?

Some people might have missed your point.....

Oh - and add a few more insults. People might not know what a wonderful, caring guy you are without enough insults....

RE: Why Red Flag Laws Won't Work.
Just fucking stop.

This thread was started by you about how "red flag laws don't work".

If the issue was about taking them away from domestic abusers, the argument would be "don't presume guilt" at time of sale.

If the issue was taking them away from terrorists that side would also pull the "don't presume guilt" at time of sale.

If the issue was the mentally ill, again, "don't presume guilt" at time of sale.

Again, taking firearms away from someone after a legal buy does NOT prevent the legal buyer from getting violent with that firearm after the legal buy.

So again, that list above are also reactionary concepts which I DO AGREE WITH. But all of them have to be considered "Red flag" laws.

I simply think it would make the firearm industry look one shitload more responsible if we didn't have to react to a violent act after a legal buy.

Do you want to keep them out of the wrong hands or not?

Amazing - you finally mentioned the thread subject.

Congratulations.

Now - to the point -- what crime do you expect to stop with the implementation of such a law?

Do you really suppose a person who is planning wanton murder is going to cooperate with law enforcement?

Explain why you think these types of laws will make a difference.

GO READ MY POSTS DUMBASS! I know what the thread subject is about.

It is simply another bullshit dodge among many to avoid the fact we make firearms like candy and hand them out like candy.

"Only the criminals will get them" is fucking bullshit.

Most firearm injuries and deaths start with a LEGALLY purchased firearm. Most firearm crimes are due to sellers not giving a shit whom they sell to.

No laws will make a difference as long as idiots like you are too stupid to see that you don't simply say "OK" at time of sale.

"Only criminals get them" is a fucking myth.

Most of the time, someone goes into  a gun shop, or goes to a gun show, or buys it from a family or friend LEGALLY, then they have a bad day, commit suicide, or have a fight with their partner, or get stupid and leave it out where their kid can get to it.

It is a BULLSHIT myth that firearm violence is due to a shop or house broken into. Most firearm violence is due to someone the user is familiar with.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO BE LEGAL AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE AND COMMIT A CRIME AFTER A LEGAL PURCHASE, and THAT is where most injuries and deaths root from.

It still remains we have an ease of access epidemic.
