I guess it depends. I respect people as human beings on a basic level until they prove they deserve otherwise. I don't respect them like I respect my father, but I respect that they have opinions they'd like to express, etc. Once they've spoken, though, it's on them to show they deserve more and not less.

So ... you're saying that the devil is more powerful than god, and that in your view, spirituality and faith are "weak and low" by comparison? I mean this guy goes to his friendly local theological seminary, takes the low-paying job of missionary (that's some really poor dedication, there!), probably knows his Bible better than you ... and he's bested by some "primitive" tribe? That should give you some pause, my friend.
