My B/P goes up about 50 points when I watch "Animal Cops." Long, slow, horrific deaths should be the penalty.

Those commercials are sick. If our Maltese Rosie was still alive, we could rent her to them as an actor. She could quiver and cringe with the best of them. She never had a hand laid to her, either.

I was a sub rosa volunteer for a Humane Society "somewhere in the Southwest US." I'd be an interested observer at a rescue, and a total son-of-a-bitch if the workers needed me. Strictly off-the-books, of course.

I've seen places where the kids were shivering like your dog.
