Unless you have a physical limitation that prevents you from doing so, please use capital letters where they belong and try to toss in some punctuation here and there. Spell check would be a plus.

Otherwise you read like the screaming, uneducated, pain-in-the-ass that you most likely are.

My guess he's a re-reg of this guy. Given that there's 2 1/2 years between Joshua Martin Pryce's last log in and Prycejosh's registration, I'm guessing either lost password or forgotten he'd previously joined rather than deliberate sockpuppetry.

I know exactly where I get my morals from. It does not involve a stupid magic book.

OTOH, you have no clue where morals come from, so if it wasn't for the magic book, you would become a lying, robbing, murdering, rapist. Is that really your claim?

It IS self indulgent. Most of the commandments are nothing more than ego boosters for the imaginary deity.

There are NONE about not keeping slaves, not committing rape, and a number of other heinous crimes.

They're also not the basis for modern laws. There are legal codes that predate the bible by hundreds or even thousands of years, and most have laws about murder and other crimes that put them far ahead of anything on the bible.

Finally, caps lock make you appear like a petulant child.

And if you think we get our morals from the bible, you obviously haven't read the bible.

As social creatures we get our morals from the social evolution of our species.
Dying to live, living to die.

RE: I love the 10 commandments
Even within the context of magic book and the faithful, the ten commandments provide very little of the overall moral structure. Most biblical morality (in contemporary christian culture) is derived from other biblical narratives, and the majority of moral content isn't derived from magic book at all.

This particular misunderstanding, though, is just an issue of vocabulary. Of confusing atheism with anti-realism, and lacking an accurate description of realist principle.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Chimpanzees practice moral behaviour. They didn't get from any propaganda expounded by fat pedo priests.

RE: I love the 10 commandments
The christianese explanation for this lies in a doctrine which states that the creator endowed all moral agents with moral awareness. If chimps are morally aware, then god made them so.

The realist explanation is that there are moral facts which all cognizant actors can, and do, leverage.

Did you know that in the internet, using all caps is considered shouting? And using it for everything you say makes you seem like a loon? If you have a vision problem, just use bigger font.

We get our morals from our moral sentiments, upbringing, culture, society, and moral reasoning. What do I win?
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
