IDK, people aren't exactly black boxes - and the one in question has a habit of saying the quiet parts out loud. That's one of the reasons the maggats give for loving his ass. He "doesn't talk like a politician".

I think Trump is very nervous because of the impeachment, if not "scared" to lose his whole reputation to issue a strike in the turmoil of Iraq like he did with the hit-job of the deceased terrorist.
Trump -and his Oligarch wing- tried to trigger WW3, or at least a regional war where he escapes the hammer of impeachment.
I think nobody is delusional but you. Nobody respects Trump anymore, if you lose respect you lose everything. Nobody is claiming to like or respect President Trump.
But - claiming to know another person's motivations simply shows the claimant's bias.
That's just a fact of life.
Reading through a person's motivation is real; all intelligence agencies are doing mostly that; you'll be surprised to know how accurate their analysis turns out to be.
A person's actions are mainly the number 1 pointer to their motive. For example, killing "Sulaimani" just when thousands of people expected that the rash, scared-of-impeachment Trump would do such a move as soon as the hammer of impeachment falls over his head.
A fact of life is the person exposing their motives through their actions.

I don't think this is an accurate assessment. If Trump planned to kill Soleimani because he was afraid of impeachment and thought it would help, why didn't he kill the general before he was impeached?
