I agree. It is better than YEC.
I have spoken to many YEC. They lack a lot of knowledge in science. They have this opinion that scientists are a bunch of liars trying to force atheism into the state. They point to problems in science such as Piltdown man.
They are people who are extremely sure of their religion and are extremely inflexible.
I guess some of them look into the science and get out of it. I guess some become OEC and some drop the religion altogether.
I have heard of a couple of cases of an atheist going from accepting the Big bang theory + Evolution theory to YEC. But I think those are the lying for Jesus type. Anyway, they are a rare gem
