By chance?
RE: By chance?
Not sure if you’re missing the point purposefully
All this supposedly happened by chance as as if it were rigged like getting 4 aces dealt to you multiple hands and then the pit boss at the casino would escort you and the dealer to the back room to have your hands broken.
The owls eyes are the same way, each mutation in the process as lucky as the rest to complete the job.
We know intelligent design is the best explanation for something along these lines OR the magic of chance evolution

Please explain the design process.

Then you can talk to me about magic.

Not by chance but natural selection.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Yukon do you also buy into the concept that things can't exist if they aren't mentioned in the Bible?

Or are you one of those 'kinds' people?

Well, that's ironic.

All this DID NOT HAPPEN BY CHANCE.

Why you keep on repeating that lie is anyone's guess.

Mutations are random. So what? You were born with an average 148 random mutations. So was everyone. So will everyone and every other species. So has everyone and every species before. Do you deny this fact? (kinda diffucult since it has been measured)

And again with the lie.

It is becoming difficult to simplify this to a point where you have a remote chance of vaguely understanding it. Fucking children can understand it. But not you.

I was able to grasp the basics of selection vs mutation by the time I was about 7 years old. Most of the sheep we raised were Highland Blackface, but every spring some of the lambs were born with either mottled or pure white faces. I asked my Da why that was, and he very patiently explained it to me in a way I could understand.

Then again, I was fortunate in having a father who wasn’t a science-denying, Bible-thumping religious lunatic.  This may have been an unfair advantage.

You have no point only fallacies and ignorance

Again repeating the same flawed reasoning doesn't help your case

Nope

Nope it isn't scientific explanation period which is why science rejects it .And no ID is magical think which is why i's peddled by theists.

Quote:And by the way, those butterflies with 'perfect owl eye' wing patterns are not even 100% effective against being eaten by their predators.”

Thank you, but that is not my point.
I stress the incredible chances that perfect owls eyes to even manifest on a butterfly’s wings in the first place and did it happen all at once? Did just the irises form first, one then the other? Partially?Or did just one outer eye form fully first? Did they mutate in steps if they weren’t the right distance apart? We’re they The wrong color before they became the right color? Ever ask yourselves these questions?
the Katydid looks like a perfect walking leaf and by 100% chance mutations. The honest mind would have a serious pause considering all this
Yes we get i your easily confused simpleton .Who wants to replace actual biology with "God Done It "

Your mistake (among many) is assuming the owl eye pattern was a goal, instead of the result of providing a survival advantage.

Another mistake is you thinking that the owl eye pattern, is a 'complete job', when it only exists because it continues to provide the survival advantage.

If a new predator was introduced into the environment that contains one of the butterfly species with an eye pattern, that did not perceive the eye pattern as a threat, the population of butterflies with the eye pattern would be decimated. The very evolved mutation that previously provided a survival advantage, would now be a detriment to survival.

The owl eye pattern was 100% selected for (not chance) due to a survival advantage.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

If all this is due to "intelegent design" why are there so many stupid bits of design in most organisms? (A single opening for breathing, speaking, eating and drinking, that's a stupid design) and who designed this designer? (if complex systems need to be designed then they need a designer who in turn would need to be designed.... back to an infinate number of designers)
