Star Trek: Picard - Way Better then I had Hoped

RE: Star Trek: Picard - Way Better then I had Hoped
Did you guys notice that there are heaps of models based on the Discovery universe in this first episode.

eg: shuttles, fleet yards, etc

Why the fuck is Starfleet using 140 year old technology!
Are they outsourcing the fucking scriptwriters to India or something!

Starfleet was still using Miranda class ships(built in the 2260s)during the Dominion war (2375,) so it's not a shocker .Just because it's old doesn't mean it's bad .

Then why does my 50 year old Mustang drive like a POS compared to today's cars! Big Grin

Aren't we supposed to advance with technology?
I mean, I'm just as much an apologist for ST as the next bloke, but I'm not deluded! lol

Just watched the first episode, I don't think I'll be watching any more.  Dull, dull, dull.  Mind-numbingly boring.  Drab.  Paced like an arthritic snail on Quaaludes.  Staring at a tulip bulb and waiting for germination would be a better use of my time. I can't shake the feeling that everyone involved in this production was afflicted with chronic narcolepsy.

Shame on you, Sir Patrick.  Shame, shame, shame.

I really enjoyed it and look forward to tomorrow. They are being very respectful to long time TNG fans who will notice the continuity. It's nice to have a Trek show that I'm looking forward to. Discovery didn't do much more me.
