He sorta had to.
He quit breathing years ago...... ... 
"Quitting is easy, I've done it thousands of times."
After all he's put his body through he can survive anything so carrying on smoking won't do him any more harm!

Too much of the world is unhealthy, just about everything we eat is preserved, just pick up just about any food item, read the label and it says, "Contains Keith Richards."
Little known fact, "Keith Richards was the first to be considered for the melty guy role in Terminator 2." 9 Lives cat food passed up Keith Richards as a spokes person, although they said, "Damn, that is more than 9 lives."
Great. Now the Sun won't come up.
