You need to take into consideration what dermatologists consider "injuries".

It would be interesting to know the percentage increase in mask use. The article says that the increase in injuries is mostly attributable to the increase in mask use, but it doesn’t give a figure for the latter.

I already had acne issues, of which I use medication to absolve myself, and I don't get injuries from wearing a mask.

Yeah, I think they’re using a pretty wide definition of ‘injury’. For example, I’m not sure that an allergic reaction qualifies. Not a lot of people who react to poison oak call it an injury.
