All three of my shots were Pfizer...the booster didn't do anything more than make my arm sore. I was expecting much worse as the second shot was rough and I was told to expect from the booster the same reaction as with the second dose.

I've heard that the booster shot is a lower dose, but I don't know if that's true because it was word of mouth.

The nurse who gave me the booster is the one who said to expect the same reaction...glad that's not how it worked out.

The second covid poke (same arm as first) gave me shoulder bursitis like symptoms for a few weeks. Booster, just sore.

Didn't feel it till now, but my arm is minutely sore from where I was jabbed this morning.

We're averaging between 350 and 400 new infections per day. As if that weren't bad enough the hospitals are 97% full and the ICU's 98%. They were talking about 24 to 48 hour waits for transfer from the emergency department to available covid beds.

A top nurse at a Columbia skilled nursing and rehabilitation center has been indicted on federal charges of creating false COVID-19 vaccination cards. Tammy McDonald, 53, a registered nurse and director of nursing at the rehabilitation center, also lied to agents with the FBI and U.S. Health and Human Services Department when confronted about the false cards, an indictment in the case said. The rehabilitation center was not identified in the indictment, which was unsealed and made public Thursday morning.

Her attorney Jim Griffin told a magistrate judge Thursday that McDonald only made one or two false vaccination cards to help a family member at the University of South Carolina. Griffin said that, ironically, the family member has “anti-vaccination beliefs,” and McDonald — who is vaccinated — provided the family member with the false card to help them out.

I'm not sure how the criminal charge would play out. If there was a direct causal path for people dying from her actions, could it be manslaughter? I'm of a mind that it's in the genre of buying a gun for someone who is too young to buy it themselves. Maybe just some falsification of records charge, but damn, it's not like the kid one bought that gun for was going run out and kill someone on purpose. #notrittenhouse #notanattorney

I worked as a mechanic for many years, and held state licenses for brakes, lamps and smog. The gov expects that the laws will be followed (duh). In California, smog is still a problem. I've seen where mechanics would circumvent the system to satisfy a customer with a vehicle that was non-compliant with the smog regulations, for a little cash in hand. I graduated from uni in '83 and found an engineer job in '84, just to get the time frame located. Back then, falsification of a smog test was only $1k and/or 1 year in prison. People expecting me to sacrifice my personal freedom for a year and/or pay that kind of fine for $50 (I'm guessing, I never did it) can go fuck themselves. Same for brakes. I'd had people come in with a fix-it ticket for failed brakes, asking me to sign off the ticket so that they could fix it themselves, later. I suspect that they were ringers from the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, but that doesn't matter to me, because they didn't get bought off. I told them to go home and make the repairs and then I would sign off.

I think this falls along the same lines as passport fraud.
