These are the new numbers for the county where I live. The projection that people over 60 (like me) would be hardest hit doesn't seem to be the case...of course all numbers are skewed due slow testing and lack of tesing...but I was surprised to see that 30-49 is actually higher than 50-80+.
The reason there is a tiny number stating Dallas is due to the way the county/city lines overlap a little bit in some places. That number of 4 in no way reflects Dallas proper.
While the county commissioner is following Trump in the concept of keeping people working and not seeing the urgency, the mayors have stepped in and been the voices of reason and are setting their own shelter-in-place and business closures.
Note that Frisco was among the last in the Dallas Metroplex to close restaurants and bars.

This makes it easier to see where we are in terms of getting the rate of infection under control (or not).
Not sure I entirely trust the numbers from China.

It's a blessing that Victoria is coming off daylight saving this Sunday.
That needed hour will buy us extra time to help in developing a cure and also buy us an extra hour to flatten the curve.
It could save a few extra lives!

Turns out that the lockdown in Illinois has been extended to May 3. Scratch that, it’s more like April 30. It’s just the local library that’s closed until May 3. Fuck me.

You should trust the numbers from China for the simple reason that there lockdown was extreme! They swiftly acted to keep everyone off the streets and didn't let anyone move between cities. https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-00741-x
I wouldn't trust those numbers any further than I could throw the quantity of dirt inside the wall of China, dredged all the way to the core of this planet, into space. I got me some arms, but damn.
