Here's an idea: A one-time $500 payment to every USian who gets vaccinated in the next six months. It would take away the unfounded claims of being 'forced' to get the vaccine, it would tamp down the 'mandate' talk, and it would get people vaccinated.

Of course, it would also lead to the screeching monkeys crying about socialism, but it would also make a nice adjunct to their Social Security payment.

Frankly, I would have thought that making it clear to the populace that they have a choice between either:

• As many people as possible getting vaccinated, or,
  
• all the plague shit we've been dealing with for the past year and a half going on forever
  

should have been enough to encourage people to get vaccinated.
