This is how I look at it. People were told the facts of this virus and disease and how to properly, scientifically deal with it to contain it and keep themselves from getting sick, going to the hospital, and die. A minority of folks decided not to listen to those facts and chose to listen to anti-vaxxers and to some individuals and a right-wing media who politicized what should have been a public health issue and made it about individual rights and political grandstanding and snake oil and spread disinformation. There is nothing that I have more complete and total contempt for than willful ignorance. So do not ask me to cry for individuals who know that they don't know the facts and are proud of it, caught covid, and then died. I say good riddance, we don't need people like that. Let evolution take its course. That is how I think and feel about the issue and I will never apologize for that.
