I can't wait for my second dose of the vaccination. Places like Syria are witnessing hellish rates of death between displaced civilians living in refugee war camps:

There this fast spreading variant of COVID called "Delta variant".

If the bullets of war do not penetrate their bodies, the Corona virus will do so. This is the case of the Syrians in the displacement camps in the northern countryside of Idlib, which is under the control of the opposition forces.
Al-Jazeera Mubasher correspondent described the situation as catastrophic, as daily from 1000 to 1500 cases of the delta mutant are recorded in an area where hospitals are no longer able to accommodate any additional cases.
According to the statistics of the Civil Defense and the White Helmets, medical centers conduct a huge number of daily swabs, revealing 90 positive cases out of every 120 swabs.
Al-Jazeera Mubasher reported the difficulty of the situation in one of the isolation centers of the Union of Syrian Medical Relief Organizations (Awsome) in the northern countryside of Idlib, which receives more than 40 injured in isolation rooms.
The center is working with very limited capabilities in an attempt to contain the dire health situation, which is becoming increasingly difficult due to the rapid spread of the new wave of the virus and its severity on the infected.
The Civil Defense is responsible for transferring critical cases from isolation centers to specialized hospitals, in which the task of finding a bed is impossible.
A civil defense worker revealed to Al Jazeera Mubasher that the number of deaths ranges between 7 to 10 per day at the level of hospitals in the region due to the lack of beds and oxygen.
He explained that the numbers have been on the rise for a month, with a noticeable record of injuries among children.
Protecting children in the northern countryside of Idlib is difficult in light of the limited possibilities
There is no protection in the camps
One of the infected people at the center attributed the spread of the virus to the residents' failure to respond to calls for measures in the camps and among the displaced to prevent the new, fast-spreading boom.
However, he considered the overcrowding in the camps as one of the most important reasons for which prevention cannot be adhered to.

Dr. Omar Raya, the health official of the Awsome Organization, told Al Jazeera Mubasher that the northwestern region of Syria is witnessing a new wave of Covid infections, and that full hospitals are unable to absorb the new infections.
The doctor explained that the current wave is more deadly than the past, and therefore it is recommended to distance, personal prevention and wearing a mask, even if simple measures may help stop the number of injuries.
The health official indicated that Awsome receives mild and moderate cases, while the advanced ones are unable to provide a bed for them, and that a number of the injured have died because of this.
Omar Raya stated that the current wave is caused by the delta mutant, which is the fastest spreading and most deadly, and that it affects the youngest from young people to children.
He stressed that the response is not done in hospitals, but through personal preventive measures that individuals are committed to, and he also recommended a vaccine that prevents severe cases
