I agree that religious exemptions should be eliminated. But given that isn't likely to happen any time soon, states can drill down on whether the belief is sincerely held which is a requirement for the exemption. That is where I think they can be challenged because the government doesn't simply have to take one's word for what he or she believes. If the specific belief appears out of nowhere, inconsistent with other tenets of one's religion and opportunistically timed, the exemption request can be rejected. Of course, this too will take political will which is unfortunately all too lacking today.
Hospital revenues predicted to be down $53 for $122 billion due to covid. Our state run university hospital system is running ads for financial counseling/debt assistance.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
The covid rationing has begun here again. "Limited to one per customer" signs on TP, paper towels, facial tissue, some cleansers and disinfectants. Some empty spots on the shelves already.
I really don't like being an obligate hoarder.

Tucker Carlson's latest rant on COVID is one of the most batshit things I've heard in a while:
Also, apparently, he's forgotten that the reason Kathy Hochul is governor despite nobody voting for her is because Chris Cuomo resigned because he realised that making a perverted ass of himself isn't a good look for a governor (eventually) and, as Lieutenant Governor, she was next in line.
And another thing to note that isn't in the video above: he plugs the Patron Saint of Staying at Home prayer candle, but conveniently leaves out that it's parody art. I know this because the Etsy listing he plugged says so in the fucking title. Or does he think Jeff Goldblum and Ted Lasso (two other similar designs plugged by the same shop visible on the "similar items" scroll just above the title) are also fellow saints in the COVID cult?
And here's a list of the other non-political figures who'd apparently be saints in the COVID cult (hidden for brevity):

Musicians: George Michael, Madonna, Adele, Cardi B, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Freddie Mercury, Kim and Kanye

In my area alone, CNAs and nurses are vastly unvaccinated, and they're constantly saying they'll leave if a vaccine mandation is ever put into effect.
So you mean high unemployment rate or low employment rate. Fine, fire them and let them struggle with unemployment. I'm past caring. Health care may suffer some but it's better than living with the extended risk.
