Well I was told earlier on today* that we're staggering shifts at work, putting us down to a five hour day (and likely to be told to stay home in a week or two if I read between the lines correctly). At least I'm in the civil service where my pay will be guaranteed if a complete shut down is ordered or if I get the disease. My best friend, who's a chef, has effectively been let go for the duration because the pub he works at has been closed.
*Over the phone, I'm actually on holidays to Wednesday.

How can anyone be dead or even sick of Coronavirus when Ivanka is looking for a cure herself? Preposterous!

I told Boss Lady that the income tax refund this year was to be hers and she should do a EGDO*. No human,no cats, no anything she didn't want to do. So she rented a hotel in a far away land (across the Missouri River, in The Land of Happy Shopping.) And then this virus starts causing things to close down. Shopping, dining, movies, nyet!
I have to assume that if she hadn't made plans the virus would not have been so scary. Lesson learned. Next year the refund goes into saving.
