Well Atlass certainly won't confront the Chinese about it, any more than he'd do something about the inequality in his own country.
Instead he'll expect 'The West' to 'do something' then whinge that they're doing something that might disturb him.

When I was at uni back in the '70s and '80s, some of the physics profs were from mainland China. They claimed that the adherence to communism was basically lip service. YMMV

That may have been true back then, though the vibe is that Xi is more of a hard-line Maoist than previous leaders. I haven't really spoken with anyone from mainland China that has lived under Xi myself though the expansionism and militarism is certainly more front and centre these days.

Knowing who is the snake willing to poison you is priceless. So simply by the old human tactic of spreading awareness about them, their beliefs and their allies.

No; killing your enemy is useless when you face parties and multi-Million peoples' movement.
While bullets are expensive in terms of resources; ideas and awareness don't cost much in comparison.
