Quote:but they're generally better than the standard conservative bs.

I couldn't disagree more. They are primarily racists looking for politically correct cover. Where the fuck were they when Bush was running the deficit through the roof starting his wars and bailing out his Wall St. buddies?

As for Libertarians? It's an asinine doctrine which would turn a modern state into a banana republic if ever enacted.

HERE HERE! The t-party was and is a ploy to trick Libertarians into voting for the Republican party.

Do libertairans vote to outlaw abortion?
How about those t-bagers in Wisconsin. It isnt enough for them that the entire bill they wanted has been accepted, but they have to add on that the unions voice should be stiffled? That people arent even allowed to TALK about raises or benefits?

That isnt Libertarian. That isnt even free market. that isnt even supporting the first amendment.

Also where are all the jobs they said they were going to add? When the t-baggers took powere here in North Carolina the first thing they did was shut down several schools. They REMOVED jobs. And of course no one should even HINT at raising taxes on higher incomes. In Wisconsin if you are rich or are a farmer then you deserve a tax break (which creates the defecit), but only CERTAIN public unions should be stiffled because they are the cause of the projected defecit? Teachers are the cause of the defecit but police and firemen are not? This is the neo-con strategy of shutting down public education and ultimately shutting down the department of education. Now, I understand that Libertarians want less govt, but it would be across the board, not just what the neo-con strategy is.

Im with Minimalist here.. Libertarianism would make this country a third world country quicker than you could say "Banana republic"

Looks like one of Gov. Walker's main concerns with unions is a complete fabrication. He's lying to have an excuse to bust the unions. What else will he lie about?

The Wisconsin Lie Exposed

Quote:Gov. Scott Walker says he wants state workers covered by collective bargaining agreements to “contribute more” to their pension and health insurance plans. Accepting Gov. Walker’ s assertions as fact, and failing to check, creates the impression that somehow the workers are getting something extra, a gift from taxpayers. They are not. Out of every dollar that funds Wisconsin’ s pension and health insurance plans for state workers, 100 cents comes from the state workers.

This is an attempt at devestating Unions across America, and it cannot be tolerated...I was amazed when I saw that the police officers sent in to arrest and remove the protestors from the capital building* actually sided with the protestors and slept there with them...that is an amazing movement towards change. Change in the right direction, too, with people actually standing up for their rights and demanding that the government do what they want it to do, not what it wants to do.

Governor Walker is essentially trying to create an aristocracy for God's sake...if we the people let this go and give up, then there may be no hope for the future of this country.

Walker is, essentially, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Koch Brothers....two scumbags of the highest order.

If you look at Fox news (or watch the Daily Show (for 2/28/11)), you will see the talking heads constantly repeating "class warfare" and the democrats.

The irony is, they are correct - it is class warfare of the bottom 98% against the top 2%, however Fox News, unsurprisingly, is using this as another "socialism!" freak out.

Fox News can fuck themselves for all I care. They always do things like that.

It definitely is class warfare; this is an attempt by the rich, elite 2% of this country to trample all over the 98% of us who are poor or middle class (read: slightly less poor than the aforementioned poor people) and create an aristocracy. If this bill passes in Wisconsin, it sets a precedent which all other states could follow if they so chose. And if that happens...woo boy. Look out.

Yeah...those tea bagging assholes constantly cite the wrong revolution.

The Let-Em-Eat-Cake-Crowd had better start worrying about this.

In Stalins half-defense, he turned russia into an industrial powerhouse.

Anyway, it would be a wise cooperation of both the left and right libertarians to rally against a common enemy (tea party). Often have I witnessed two foes embroiled in war with each other and ignoring a rather small being on the sidelines that is rapidly growing in power, that then steamrolls over both of them.

I get so sick of hearing Hannity whine about "class warfare". As others have noted, class warfare has been raging for 30 years since Reagan shifted the burdens of running the government away from the rich to the middle class and to the next generation with his tax schemes. The middle class has been losing badly and the drama in Wisconsin is the "endgame".
