What did I call proof, exactly? You have a lost Q source on the one hand, an available Q source on the other. So, again, what reliability of the gospels are you talking about?
I have a lost source precisely nowhere, and I'm talking about no reliability at all.  You... are my source.

You indicated that the volume of work rejected was proof of the reliability of magic book.  You've since demonstrated that you don't believe that this is proof of reliability in the case of me rejecting half of anything you have to say, or the christians rejecting their own apocrypha.

This is a fairly simple litmus test for the sorts of claims that you and others like you enjoy making.  You should expect to hear it alot, and if you feel compelled to say something that you know wont pass this test...no matter how much you believe it, you should probably keep it to yourself.

If, ofc, you intend to offer cogent arguments for your faith.

Quote:Jesus contemporaries weren't convinced he was a god, first of all, this doctrine came much later . And his sayings were transmitted, we lost them after his death. If we had sayings about his sleep position, yawns, etc. we would devote the same kind of attention to study the heritage. You have that about Muhammad, what are you doing about it ?
Found another one.  You don't believe in the rule of attention devoted, either.  Should have kept it to yourself.

Quote:So, you have no book suggestion. Good to know how much you read about Islam.
About as much as you do, maybe a bit more...since you can't find any books about it.

I don't mind confessing that islam and magic book bore me to tears.  It's a fairly straightforward post axial fairy tale.  Not nearly as creative or masterful as most of it's competition, and nowhere near as interesting as new religious movements.
Quote:What political motivation did Muhammad have to endure death threats and torture for 13 years... I don't get it, if you do, help me out. It's clear politics is involved with regards to choosing the next caliph, nobody denies that, but not so much on why a group of proficient poets will go to extreme measures to fabricate a book about god, belief and monotheism.
What political motivation does anyone have for enduring death threats for years?  Maybe you should ask the christians.  Why would they go to such extreme measures to fabricate a book about a god-man that never existed?

Found another one, haven't we.

A ban would honor me if this place turned into a household for terrorists who advocate murder and get away with it.

Magic book advocates murder and gets away with it. What's the problem?

LOL, this from a muslim.

Joke time is over.
Muslims are almost 2 billion, they have a mayor in London too. So enough with stupidity and face your shameful choice to debate a terrorist:

Again, I deny the existence of a verse who mentions apostasy. I know it's enforced and I know it's there in the Islamic jurisprudence based on an authentic hadith.
And if it is established by a court of Islamic law that it is actual treason (which is extremely complicated to establish and requires incontrovertible proof already) then yes, the punishment is death.

? really ? did AF reach the level of allowing such hateful, ignorant and dangerous language? The killing of innocents who didn't kill first and practice murder ?
And you are debating him?
He just used this forum to say that apostates and people like me deserve death !

And he will lie to hide it by posting walls of text ! we know how the terrorist, racist MK acts !

If this place reached this level, then I welcome the ban.

I am not providing formal syllogisms here for my faith, either. I am inviting you to read more about subjects you don't know well, and as a result, you can't see their worth.

If I am your only source about Islam, then this is a problem already. I might still convey things wrongly despite my best efforts, especially related to why we trust our oriental heritage. Besides, this subject is not about arguments for the Islamic faith.

No, you didn't find any. We have sayings today of Muhammad about minutious details of his life, thus we invoke *the rule of attention*. We don't have them in the case of Jesus, no rule invoked. You claimed followers copy batshit things differently, I answered followers take their idol seriously, plus they master their language well enough not to miss short idioms.. so don't strawman, please.

Translations of the Qur'an might look boring - translations. You either should just learn Arabic to check whether the original is boring, or hear experts judgement about it. Creative and masterful? A book of guidance is about... guidance, not about satisfying one's imagination.

It's a hard one to rule out an historical Jesus... and no book is fabricated, they're just books of disciples of Jesus, by the christians own admission. They go to extreme measure merely to justify their link to Jesus. Nobody today, even christians, thinks that any random quote from the bible is from Jesus' mouth.
