Jesus contemporaries weren't convinced he was a god, first of all, this doctrine came much later . And his sayings were transmitted, we lost them after his death. If we had sayings about his sleep position, yawns, etc. we would devote the same kind of attention to study the heritage. You have that about Muhammad, what are you doing about it ?

I don't mind confessing that islam and magic book bore me to tears.  It's a fairly straightforward post axial fairy tale.  Not nearly as creative or masterful as most of it's competition, and nowhere near as interesting as new religious movements.   

What political motivation did Muhammad have to endure death threats and torture for 13 years... I don't get it, if you do, help me out. It's clear politics is involved with regards to choosing the next caliph, nobody denies that, but not so much on why a group of proficient poets will go to extreme measures to fabricate a book about god, belief and monotheism.

I am not providing formal syllogisms here for my faith, either. I am inviting you to read more about subjects you don't know well, and as a result, you can't see their worth.

Translations of the Qur'an might look boring - translations. You either should just learn Arabic to check whether the original is boring, or hear experts judgement about it. Creative and masterful? A book of guidance is about... guidance, not about satisfying one's imagination.

It's a hard one to rule out an historical Jesus... and no book is fabricated, they're just books of disciples of Jesus, by the christians own admission. They go to extreme measure merely to justify their link to Jesus. Nobody today, even christians, thinks that any random quote from the bible is from Jesus' mouth.
