I hate mayo, but once again, if I owned a food joint, and you wanted mayo on a ham sandwich, hotdog, crabcake, squid, PBJ, and I had mayo, why would I be stupid and tell you "no" because I personally don't like mayo? I might say to myself "ewe", but my servers damned sure should smile while selling things they don't personally like.
Long ago, when I worked at a 7-11 it had one of those hot dog rollers which included breakfast sausages. I use to buy them, put diced raw unions, ketchup, jalapenos, cheese (wizz) and maple syrup.
If the same store sold mushrooms and squid for the same hot dog and sardines. Why would I have to like it if I am not eating it?

I actually have a mayo sandwich once in a while. The olive oil mayo is nice.

That's how I feel about mayo. Husband will slather mayo on the bread before loading it with tuna salad...which is glued together with mayo. Makes me gag a little.

I had a garlic/cayenne mayo once that wasn’t horrible - sort of like a very heavy aioli sauce.
Generally though, I only use mayo for baking and grilled cheese.

That’s ‘Oyl’, not ‘oil’.
Semi-interesting fact: Olive Oyl was around for almost a decade before the Popeye character was created.
