Your points, if you had any, were refuted long ago, even before you joined this forum, even before you were the glimpse in the eye of your parents at a Michael Jackson concert.
I am saying this, because i have learned that some people are so ignorant that they really are indistinguishable from trolls, like you.

So, are you a troll, or just as ignorant as you portray yourself to be? Personally i have too much self respect to puvlicly pretend to be that ignorant as you are doing publicly. But ymmv.

If the answer is no to all three questions, then why are so many liberals and demagogues like Al Sharpton so certain that George Floyd's death is the result of racism?

But Brian this clearly wasn't racism because .......umm ...ah .....He doesn't want it to be .

Oh and yes institutional cultural racism within police itself  does a good job explaining why black cops kill black people . But internalized racism can also be a factor ,And power dynamics can lead to a form of cultural racism amoung black cops .

Oh, he wants it to be racism.  He just doesn't want the rest of us to notice.

It's a fairly common tactic - people such as this fucking waterhead discount the brutalization of minorities by looking for ANY other explanation for that brutality.  But they aren't really interested in finding another explanation. They're interested in muddying the waters until the point is reached where nothing is EVER tagged 'racism'.

In the interim, they support and encourage racist attitudes and tactics (see the first post in this thread) by demonizing anyone who speaks up.

The issue of race in police shootings isnt about a white guy killing a black guy, its about the fact that unarmed black men are disproportionately killed by police officers. So the correct question is why is one race (black) killed by police at a much higher rate.

The answer to all [first] three questions is no, but ... these questions miss the point and lots of necessary and relevant details.

There's a very strange habit I've noticed on this forum. People here think of the human mind as something that contains on-off switches.

So for example, belief or lack of belief is a constant topic of conversation. One either believes or doesn't. There is no middle ground. It's as if we think of the mind as a little spark of pure reason, imprisoned temporarily in a body of dross.

As a non-religious person, I don't think the mind is that way.

The mind, in my view, is the result of body processes. It contains different parts and actions. There is no reason at all to think that these actions will necessarily be consistent with one another, or that they will lack conflict. So I think that people can be fuzzy, I think they can change their beliefs depending on the circumstances, I think they can think they believe something but act in all cases as if they don't.

It's this way with racism, I think.

Most of us think that racism is bad. So we are likely to believe that we have purged it from ourselves. If racism in the mind worked with an on-off switch, I'd believe that.

But in fact I think that decisions we make that are barely conscious can add up. If asked, we'd say we're not racist, but over the long run we may have done any number of things that would disprove that if they were shown to us.

Any given policeman may be very sure that he's fair. It's the total data about incidents, though, that show constant institutionalized racism. What sentences are given out for equivalent crimes, what percentage of suspects get injured while being arrested, etc. etc. It may be impossible to say whether any given injury or incident is the result of racism. It shows in the total.

I think the statistics show that America is racist.

I think the statistics show that America is racist.

If a certain segment of the population disproportionately commits more crime, then it follows that they'll be disproportionately arrested, unless there's something fishy going on.

And if this population is having disproportionately more interactions with the police, then it follows that this population will be more likely to be injured or killed by the police.

And if police want to efficiently use their finite resources (man power) to minimize crime as much as possible, then it would make sense for them to focus on the segments of the population that are causing the most crime.

And if a judicial system notices that a certain segment of the population is disproportionately committing more of a particular crime, like selling drugs, then they'll hand out harsher sentences to members of these populations who commit these particular crimes as a crime determent.

This has nothing to do with race. It's just logic. The problem is liberals are more interested in emotions, feelings, and optics rather than truth, logic, and evidence.
