Well, it’s not as though the one percent is even attempting to fix the socio-economic issues we face in our society.

Ah, yes, I did mention vaccines in post 6. This was to establish that your decision to mislabel the thread was part of a larger trend I’ve noticed in your posts: very poor thinking skills. I also cited your then-recent thread about Greta Thunberg’s appearance in a CNN COVID town hall, if you recall. And it was all in service of pointing out the irony of your obsession with the NPC meme: that you yourself seem to fit the mold far better than any of us. Though to be fair, we’re at least getting a little more insight into what Agnostico is like outside of trolling, and you even created an avatar (crimson rosella, it looks like.) So at least there’s that.

Frankly, dumbasses are the only group of people worth being prejudiced against. Except maybe white supremacists, but there is a lot of overlap, though I don’t think you’ve shown signs of being the latter, at least. Indifferent to The suffering of minorities, and blaming them for it perhaps, but not a full blown white supremacist.

And you didn’t just post an article. You made a lot of questionable claims in the replies and since this is a forum, we challenged them, and you doubled down on them. And you keep doing it.

I took away a lot from this thread but...
We rid ourselves of religion in part to free the shackles of morality
Only to have someone try to dictate their subjective morals onto everyone by declaring their word to be infallible, like the pope.
And much like religion that demonizes sinners we have the very same kind of demonizing. We are evil, we are hateful.

In my day debate was a major part of politics and science. However the left have given up debating.
Its our way or the highway. And if your not on our highway then your a racist, evil, nazi, bigot, anit, phobe, hater.

Its sad but civilized discourse is almost dead

I doubt that we rid ourselves of religion in order to be free of the shackles of morality, or that we're evil, or that debate isn't still a major part of science and politics. You may not understand moral theory, you may look inward and not see what you like, and you may lack rhetorical skill...but that's you.

Perhaps you think that civilized discourse is dead because you've been excluded for cause.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

You might not, but evidently Agnostico does.

If only there were some way to settle differences of opinion.  Wink
