Most elected sheriffs run unopposed, and removing them is very nearly impossible.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Are we ready to give the north american continent back to the people we barricaded -in-, while we're wringing our hands over things like that? Boy, they really should have been able to call somebody without negotiating with us.

When the novelty wears off it will end. Eventually people will tire of it, except for maybe the street homeless.
But for now it sounds like they are trying to work out logistics:
"Every day, Seattle Fire Chief Harold Scoggins, Seattle Department of Transportation Director Sam Zimbabwe, and Seattle Public Utilities General Manager Mami Hara have been on site. On Sunday, they held a meeting with onsite organizers, small businesses, and residents to discuss proposed changes to the protest zone."

The chief of police in Seattle is chosen by a vote of the city council who are chosen by the voters of the city. Who chose whoever decided to declare the existence of the CHOP zone? The mayor is negotiating with someone and I don't know who that is. I guess someone just declared themselves to be the representative of the residents of that area and make the decisions for them. If I lived there I would want them to get out of my neighborhood, but I guess I wouldn't have that choice.

So more not answering questions or answering with more questions and just generally repeating the same refuted points

Read my first sentence. I did and you didn't answer a thing and all your objections have already been rendered moot .

I'm really scratching my head looking for reasons to be against this thing. I thought conservatives, libertarians, anti government folks would be supportive of this. Guess their chosen media outlets told them to be outraged so they listened.
I guess it's ok if you don't mind someone putting barricades around and declaring that you're no longer a part of your country. If I'm burglarized or something I'd like to have the police come without having to negotiate with someone I haven't elected before they can see me. They have no right to baracade my neighborhood.
Lad stop talking about Trump, you're only hurting his reelection chances by pointing out the truth.
