I use Spotify, so it's always something I want to hear. However, if I'm watching the boob tube, any time rap, or hip hopish shit plays, the mute button follows.
Oops.

Anything by Lynyrd Skynyrd, especially Freebird.
NGL, don't ever need to hear "Stairway to Heaven" again. The first ten thousand times were enough.
Almost everything that comes out Ted Nugent's piehole, with the possibile exception of "Stranglehold".
Springsteen. Skip!
Jane's Addiction
U2. Most of it, anyhow.

There are actually a few bands that I'm a huge fan of that have one specific song that I've heard way too many times. If this song comes up, I'll skip it in its entirety.
Alice In Chains, Man in the box
Van Halen, Hot for teacher
Metallica, Enter sandman
AC/DC, Thunderstruck
Aerosmith, Love in an elevator and Angel
Soundgarden, Black hole sun
And anything by The Who or the Stones.

Even
Spotify gets it wrong, which is why I don't listen to their genre mixes. They tend to lump rap in with pop.

I still use Pandora as I have playlists from way back on there. I don't want to reinvent them on another platform. Sometimes a song will pop up and, even with my diverse taste in music, I wonder how the heck they decided I would want to hear that.

Agree with the MR Macabre 666. "Hot For Teacher" is just plain annoying. So high schoolish, and immature. "Low Rider" by War does the same thing for me. I go to vehicle meetups on occasion, and that bit of shit always seems to be on the playlist.
