"Hot For Teacher" certainly didn't ever speak to me as a former Catholic school student. Nuns and brothers and priests, oh my.

Anything from Soca, Dance Hall, Vybes, Riddim. Imagine the loopy genericness of pop music without the poppyness but with either gangbanger or womanizing 3 to 1 word lyrics.

I can't think of anything. I don't care for rap, but I won't necessarily turn it off.

I don't listen to country radio because I hate modern country. When listening to classic rock radio, Lynyrd Skynyrd gets the axe, as does all hair metal, Moody Blues, Ted Nugent, most BTO, "Hotel California" and :Love Hurts", and Styx. I'm sure I'll think of more.

I agree with most of this. BTO was ruined for me when I was a senior in high school. Dad made arrangements for me to ride to school with a classmate who lived up the hill from us. We despised one another with a fury. Every damn morning he would pull up out front and I got in the back seat and somehow his 8-track was always playing Takin' Care of Business.
I liked Lynyrd Skynyrd when they were first getting big but then they were so overplayed that I just can't take them at all any more.
Modern country is a no-go for me. I can listen to Johnny Cash, and Willie Nelson, and the other outlaw country story tellers but not anything along the lines of 'Our cocker spaniel's always having puppies, how can anybody be so lucky?' KMN

I haven't listened to the radio since the CD became a thing.
Radio celebrates favored fashion over the brilliant proficiency of artistic flair.

Yeah, between bro-country and the Taylor Swift clones, mainstream country is awful. I do like much of what I've heard from Kacey Musgraves ... but what country I do hear is college radio. It avoids the shit that passes for country nowadays.

I listen to some contemporary country. There's good and bad. As with any genre, that which gets all the airplay tends to be the lowest common denominator.
