Country and western "music" is like fingernails on a blackboard to me. I can't say exactly what it is about it but I find it physically unpleasant to listen to. Rap is something I don't regard as music but it doesn't have the same effect on me.

My subjective ear doesn't consider rap, heavy metal, or particularly hard rock to be music.

Folk music barely qualifies as well (most of it is just depressed whinging in 2/4 time).

Anything by Paul McCartney gets turned off immediately. This includes songs he sings with the Beatles.
