Let’s be clear - no one has to support BLM as an organization. No one has to march with them, donate to them, wear a BLM hat, or post BLM signs in their front garden. It’s perfectly fair to criticize BLM as an organization. 

But I don’t think any rational person would decline to support the concept that black lives really do matter. The alternative concept (black lives don’t matter) is too repugnant to contemplate. It’s not a claim that other lives don’t matter, or even that black lives matter more. As a concept, it’s the position that people need to recognize that a person doesn’t matter less simply because they’re black.

I can’t see anything wrong with that.

Subjectively, people can deceive themselves by convincing themselves that what they believe and what they are doing is for the benefit of their people. Antagonists always think they are doing what is right, but being on the right side of history is more important than siding with delusional separation schemes.

Objectively, a wayward path results not in unity but conflicting strife.

There is no such thing as the right side of history, any more than universal increase in entropy of the universe has a right side.  

There is only success or failure, almost always temporary,  in influencing history to unfold in a manner that involves increased expressions of element of things one personally prefers to see, in a manner similar to how the agency of men can influence (Slightly) what phenomenons are manifested even as Entropy undergoes it’s inexorable increase.

Passive-aggressive bullshit aside, the "othering" of people, inclusivity (one's 'own people') and also sortening ('those people') is the act of pulling up arbitrary boundaries between people based on (also) characteristics such as skin color or even political alignment.

BLM isn't that, despite the assholey opportunists within.

Of course there's such a thing as the wrong side of history.

No there isn’t.   There is no Reliable natural law that says their view will not prevail again in the future such that they can claim that they were on the right side of history instead of you.   Or Even if you turn out to be correctly confident of the tendency towards you preferred arrangement is the society you are familiar with, there is not assurance your society would not be be deposed or overthrown by an outside force which checks and reverses the trend.

Many Societies have oscillated from inclusion to exclusion, from what we can liberals might find palatable to what we might call reactionaries find exemplaries, due to complex interplay of circumstances.  

To say history is “on your side” is quite an egomaniacal and megalomaniacal nonsense.

The black people in this vid understand that White Leftist types aren't as well-meaning and non-racist and as they would have folks believe. The way they practice racism--particularly the "woke" bigotry of low expectations--is simply more deceptive and insidious, and can be remarkably destructive to the black psyche.

I think that you should demand a better quality of propaganda, speaking of low expectations. The Opposites Day Theory of political activism is just as childish as any other opposites day scheme, and for the same reasons.

Oh, there does indeed appear to be a long-overdue exodus in the works. Not necessarily massive---but certainly big enough.
