Why did I (an atheist) legally change my name to "God"?

Oh PGJ is a former member of this site. Well quite a few sites, in fact. Claims to be an atheist, claims to be a god. PGJ is an abbrieviation of his full name. ProgrammingGodJordan. You can search the member list to find his unsavoury history if you must, This is his profile here.

One can find many such profiles on other fora under the same handle, many of which I have encountered in the wild.

Hiis claim is...well I am unsure, but it seems to end up being that he has created AI and as such must be regarded as a deity of some sort. It is difficult to parse that kettle of crazy.

His MO was

1. start multiple threads about AI and god.
2. get banned
3. Create sock, start multiple threads about AI and god
4. Get banned
5. Goto 3.

Now it appears that he has changed his name legally and thinks that all the many socks are forgotten. And the lies. And the BS.

Oh and god and AI are the topic. Shock. Horror.

He's a serial sockpuppet who lives to post his insane ramblings (think time cube levels) everywhere.

I think he's close to 20 accounts shut down here.

3 concise points why are found in the PDF document below:

i) Long ago, "asthma was considered a sacred disease" related to divine punishment. Instead, today using modern science/understanding, we know asthma is a respiratory illness.
  • Source: Any detailed timeline description of Asthma's History
ii) Likewise, I produced a 2016 paper/thought experiment that redefined the old God concept, to a modern one: Anything of human level intelligence or greater.

Today there is no scientific evidence of any bible etc Gods/creators of our universe, but normal humans are actual candidates describable as Gods; we are using modern science to make software simulations of universes (eg Illustris), building artificial intelligence models plus we do many other cognitive tasks.

Notably, human level artificial intelligence or greater also falls under the redefinition above.
  • Source by myself: "Research Gate/A scientific redefinition of God by an Atheist"
iii) So, I am human with somewhat average brain function, hence my new first name, "God". I think, objectively, "God" is a fitting name for any human without significant brain damage.

People like Jordan fascinate me. They sign on, rant and lose arguments, abuse and get abused until they get banned. Then, they go through all the trouble to sign on AGAIN and repeat the whole process.

It like the bloke who goes to a party and makes such a jackass of himself that he get forcibly ejected. But the party - where no one likes him - holds such fascination that he puts on his ‘Groucho nose and glasses’ and sneaks back in, hoping things will be different this time.

Here’s a hint - find a different party.

I don't know which was worse, the old, tired argument from redefinition or the novel argument from asthma. You wouldn't think that breathing dificulties would be a deity-grade qualification.

Look for one where they're passing around really good chemicals. You need your victims to be paralysed from the neck up before trying to implant that much bullshit into their skulls.

We both believe in a god.

YOU believe in a god. HE believes he is a god. But you are OK with that. In your book, any god will do, right? That is why you are a devout Muslim, right?

Of course as usual, sarcasm sails right over your head. And inevitably, you will misconstrue such to support whatever your cliaim or excuse du jour happens to be today.

That is irrelevant and has nothing to do with the truth or not of your claims.

Our (now banned) protagonist claims to be a god. He is not your god and I accept no god at all.

Get the facts straight. I do not believe in any god, you believe in a rather odd god, and ProgrammingGodJordan thinks he is a god. Literally. That is not shit. This is not the first rodeo with this wingnut,

As atheist/theist, you and I could have a civil to and fro, but that guy is frankly nuckking futs.

I like to think that both you and I are at least somewhat rational, but this guy is flat out bonkers. It matters not a whit what you or I might believe or not. This guy has had his chees comprehensively slide off the cracker. How do I know this? Not my first go with this particular crank.

Is the document legit? Did this person REALLY change their name to God? Hilarious

This particular banned poster possibly has other intellectual issues besides just a names change.

It appears so. But given that user is a persistent wingnut that is banned so many times from everywhere, who cares?

Why do you care?

Could it be that you are the latest sock of PGJ? Seems a rather obscure topic to glom onto.

Anyone can legally change their name to whatever they want, but to you, the entire concept is somehow a surprise. Not buying that.

It's just so hilarious. It goes beyond actual mere trolling when the guy literally changes his first name in RL to God Hilarious

I was just wondering because I can't tell the difference between a real legal name change document and a forgery.

EDIT: There is no way in a million years that I am that guy lol.
