Hell I'd kiss Patrick Stewart.
There was an interesting scene in the show 911.
The two straight guys, Buck and Eddie, are good friends. Eddie has a young son with CP. The three of them were hanging out in public. And as the father and son walk off, a woman approaches Buck and says, "You've both got a cute son." Instead of being offended or correcting the woman, he simply responds with "Thank you."

Montana Lawmaker Says It's Normal To Beat Up Gay People
(text in bold are are my own editorial additions)
Quote:A Republican lawmaker and vicious, cold-hearted bitch in Montana said that LGBTQ people who get beat up for holding hands in public are receiving the “normal consequences associated with the choices they made” and said that LGBTQ people “recruit young people” – a reference to child molestation -in a speech this week.
Quote:State Sen. Theresa Manzella ® who apparently was born and raised in some dystopian nightmare world was speaking at a “God, Country, Family” event in Clinton, Montana about “the LGBTQ agenda” Wednesday night,
Quote:She (heartless cunt that she is) said LGBTQ people “play the protected class card” by complaining about violence against them. She brought up how some queer people are afraid to hold hands with someone of the same sex in public out of fear of getting beat up, and why do you think THAT is, you ignorant train wreck of a human being??
“I’ve got to tell you, I think those are normal consequences associated with the choices they made,” Manzella, who wouldn't know 'normal' if it sat down at her table, said.

Go fuck yourself, Theresa Manzella.
I shouldn't even be surprised by the right-wing stupidity anymore.

Some LGBT people are assholes who do horrible things. But this has nothing to do with their LGBT-ness. It has to do with the fact they are human beings, and some human beings are horrible pieces of shit.
This transcends race, nationality, or sexual orientation. Also transcends religion (or lack thereof). Some Christians are terrible human beings. As are some atheists. Welcome to kindergarten. I hope you learned something today. *emphasis mine*
Literally no one has said that, I simply just posted a news article of a person who happened to be trans.
The reason why it's relevant, is that this person belongs to a group that's trying to redefine pedophile to Minor-Attracted Person (MAP), and yes, they are pushing to be considered part of LBGT.
No this isn't just an "anecdote", this is a real thing.

And how much traction is this getting within the mainstream LGBTQ community? Are people actually defending that jackass? Hell, the first screenshot includes someone pointing out (rightly) that the fundamental difference between homosexuality and pedophiles is that the latter puts people in danger.
And putting them on a morally even keel is actively dangerous to gay people. Indeed, as an illustration, here’s a case study of what happens when people don’t have the sense to differentiate between gay people and child predators:

I literally just posted a news article of a trans professor advocating for MAPs, then there was Milo Yiannopoulos, probably one of the more high profile examples.
