That Gay Thread
RE: That Gay Thread
Amazing that a few gays can bring down an entire society.

Of course, the right-wing nuts in the U.S. are saying similar things.

Montana's library commission voted to reject a proposed logo for the state library because it was "too gay" and would set off a "firestorm" by including multiple bright colors. One commissioner described rainbows as "very political, explosive weapons."

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

So weird since the rainbow is supposedly so important in the Bible.

I can understand why they rejected the logo. If you put a rainbow on a library, it’ll become a focus for gay recruiters - they’ll all be hanging out in the Children’s Section, trying to get little boys to marry other little boys, convincing little girls to join softball teams, and posting flyers promoting The Annual Gay Agenda Picnic And Terrorist Guild Fundraiser.

A library in Iowa has closed after nearly all of its employees quit due to anti-LGBTQ harassment against-staff, complaints about LGBTQ titles, and whipped up controversies. The town now has no library.

Probably for the best. I doubt anyone in that town can read.
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.

As someone who grew up in Iowa...I think I should be offended.

That's what the anti-LGBT+ people want. Education is bad for hate.

Next it will be book burning.

And they also want to have a society where religious people can kill whoever they want on the spot, they just accuse him or her of being gay, like it is now in Chechnya
