To be fair, this was actually pretty funny. Thanks for the chuckle.

And if he drew it himself, he at least put the effort in. Now if only he could take the same effort to look into what you told him to look up.

And here’s the same post I made where I finally decided “fuck it, if you need someone else to wipe your own ass for you, I may as well have to do it.” And gave him multiple links. So, congrats, Huggy Bear, you’re out of excuses.

Not so fast, I haven't had the chance to read through em properly, a quick perusal seems that all it is, is a redefinition of the word gender, which was already addressed and really has nothing to do with science.

If gender is psychological, then what determines which psychological behaviors are an acceptable norm? Is racial identity also psychology? Is it acceptable to identify as a different age?

Are you familiar with the Trans woman that went to the asian spa and exposed himself to the women and girls there? What's your opinion of that story?

Are you aware of the isolated incident of [someone from a group I don't like] doing something bad?

If not, let me inform you.
These damn [group of people] are very bad.
I do not like them.

You can bet that because a small percentage of them are terrible human beings, that they are all bad.
They should not be allowed the freedoms that I take for granted.

1) Society. Ideally, they should base what behaviours of what contitutes an acceptable norm on whether or not it hurts other people and if any harm is made even worse by people not accepting it. (For instance, in the case of trans people, given gender-affirming care, mental health goes up dramatically. And that one actually shows a link to several dozen studies elaborating on their points.)
2) Given that race is a social construct, (as opposed to ethnicity, which tends to have more physiological markers), honestly, I suspect that a big part of it is psychology (and, of course, sociology).
3) To quote Brynn Tannehill, “It almost goes without saying that you cannot change your age. Neither can transgender people change their gender identity (trust me, we have all tried mightily to not be transgender before we transition). When transgender people transition, they're not changing sex, they're making their bodies match their gender identity.”
4) Yes, it was discussed on another thread.
5) There is a big narrative the right tries to push about trans people trying to invade women's spaces and trying to prey on women there. I've heard dozens of cases that claimed to be this, and that is only the third case I've heard of that actually seems to fit that narrative (many cases try to pass off mere cross-dressing without claiming they're trans, some don't even mention cross-dressing or a different gender identity). It's worth noting that all three cases that I found held up to scrutiny have a perp with a prior sex offense pre-transition, which would seem a better indicator of shit like that. And, even with those rare individuals who actually do, it's not like this is going to create a loophole that allows for men to assault women with impunity. A sex crime is still a sex crime, no matter who commits it, and no judge in a case like that is going to say "Why didn't you just say you were trans? Sorry to bother you, carry on with your sexual assault." What I have seen more often is men just going into women's spaces, not even bothering to claim any different sexual identity, just doing what they wanted to do, and banking on the hope that they remain one of the grey figures in this graph.

Hell, when it became clear that this might be the third true case I found, I actually did a search on the local sex offender's registry and found 25 cisgender female offenders and two who might have been trans (their pages gave nothing on the chronology of their transitions, or even if they were actually trans, especially since one of the two gave no typically male name, despite being identified as male, so I can't rule out the possibility of a Boy Named Sue situation) living within a 10-mile radius of the gym. If this is representative of the problem, that only underscores how rare it is for trans folk to be a sexual threat, since they're outnumbered in the predatory department by cis women, who tend to not be taken seriously as sex criminals.

Sure. You seem to love definitions so what is a definition of a "black man"? Is it that he is a man and black? But then again some black men are paler than some white people. Or that he is good at basketball and dancing?

There are a lot of arbitrary divisions out there that can be useful in some situations (and misused in other), but that don't have a clear definition, especially when it comes to people. People can't be defined by a dictionary and usually find it offensive.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Nope, I could draw something way better than that.

That has nothing to do with anything

And as predicted Huggy goes into full denial mode and starts moving goalposts and conjuring excuses only to have more info spoon-fed to him. And thus the endless cycle continues

Yes, Huggy. That is exactly how science works. It updates itself based on new information. Talk about stepping on the point like a rake and hitting yourself in the face with it. Not that you’ll feel anything.

This is why I didn’t waste my time. You already had all your fallacious refutations in the holster and ready to be deployed before you even read a word of a single study.

Like you do with everything else, you’ve started with your conclusion. It’s pointless to try and educate someone who has no sincere interest in learning. Your personal incredulity regarding transgenderism is an irrelevant non-starter to any discussion about transgenderism.
