Ahh, the perks of having an unusual name. Thanks mom, for being a hippie.

My mother was so afraid I would name my oldest something like Rainbow or Moonbeam. Of course she still wasn't happy with the first and middle names I did select (which are pretty common names) because they were too long and wouldn't fit on any form anywhere. Of course she gave me a name no one can spell or pronounce...go figure. I really wish I had named one of my daughters Rainbow. That would've been fucking awesome. I gave all my sons traditionally girl names. Mostly because I wanted girls.

The only bit of semi-originality my mother had was to put a "y" in my middle name, Jayne. My mother, the rebel! Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???" My mum gave me a name spelt in a fashion not used for more than 1000 years. Thanks for gifting me with a lifetime of explaining, Mum. Thank you so bloody much. Boru

I like to peruse the county lockup page for stories and acquaintances. Based on frequencies of names, mammas, don't name your boy Dakota.
I was named after my dad but called by the middle name, which lead to too much explaining and a cool nickname. These days, I love it when some smartass tells me, "Go fucking practice! You tuning sonofabitch!" RE: Panel of Karens pulls a Karen on being a karen

We do see the occasional Gypsy and plenty of Sara's, which works as well as Karen if you say it right.
