But of course you have no idea what his logic is.

If you think that your own thinking is superior to that of every religious person in the world then I think your self-image may be out of proportion.

You erroneously assume it is my thinking alone. Now, any more empty words to portray your lack of comprehension?

No, this is of course thinking that you share with many other people.

Unfortunately, that doesn't mean that it's good thinking.

I don't believe that every single religious person in the world is irrational, illogical, or stupid. I don't think that they are all missing some important truth which you (and many others) are aware of.

I think it's important for us to understand their thinking as well as we can before we issue orders as to what they ought to believe instead. Especially when we make commands to minority groups who have, in the past, been issued too many orders.

If history had taught me anything, it is that religion continually fails despite having had millennia to offer the kind of peace it is always offering. Therefore, forgive me for having absolutely zero confidence in religious thinking wanting anything except universal compliance from the masses and utter control over what people think.

Now, let us get back on topic regarding how deluded the religious black community is.

You haven't read much religious literature. What you say here is just false.

I don't suppose you're interested in looking into what religious people have actually said, but if you were to read things by, for example, Eriugena, Jacob Boehme, William Blake, Simone Weil, or hundreds of other religious people who want more than to control your thinking, you would change your mind.

Dr. Cone, to get back to the subject of this thread, advocated Christianity as a way of freeing, not controlling, the minds of black people. You will reject this, of course, because you have already decided that what he said must be wrong. But lots of black people continue to find his work liberating.

The fact that you judge them to be "deluded" indicates that you think you know what's better for black Christians than black Christians do.

White people saying they know better has historically been a problem.

Black atheists also think black people are better off without a belief in the white man’s god, and I’m on the side of those black people.

Please present an argument as to why all black Christians are deluded or made less free by their religion.

You're making a very broad and strong claim, so the burden of proof is on you.

Please give specifics. General statements like "Christianity only wants to control people" need historical or textual support.

No, I’m not playing your game.

If you refuse to comprehend the logic of what I have already presented in this thread, the fault lies with you.

Good day.
