80 years..

RE: 80 years..
Defeating japan didn't have anything to do with saving jewish people. Japan was doing it's own dirt, and though we didn't bomb them to save the people they'd been shitting on - it was a happy consequence.

The decision to drop the bomb was the subject of immediate mythmaking at the time - but it probably boiled down to a single calculation. Would the american people accept a president who did not use a weapon he had against a reviled enemy on account of principled reservations that this enemy (and the american public) did not share.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

So you admit that Brian was a troll spitting out lies just to win an argument he knows that he's wrong at?
Good, splendid.

Now we go to you; your people payed taxes and supported the most evil invention ever created on earth; then held the whole world a hostage by detonating that WMD on the head of Japan.

The idiots didn't even know how to protect it well; now the whole world developed its own versions of the weapon; lol.

That's what happens when you give a group of cowboys rifles. They kill the whole town then shoot their own feet too.

Then that would be 75 years, not 80. Jesus, and I though Drich was bad at math for repeatedly failing to understand how multiplication and division work, since you evidently struggle with basic subtraction. I expected better from a culture that brought us algebra.

Also, the anniversaries of dropping of Fat Man and Little Boy on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were about two weeks ago. I won't fault you for being late, but I will fault you for acting like the West treats this as some act so demonstrably good it's regularly celebrated, because it's repeatedly brought up as a morally ambiguous action, especially since there's a distinct possibility that the Japanese surrender had more to do with the threat of a Soviet invasion than the A-bomb. Hell, even I had to check and confirm the days they were actually dropped (the 6th and 9th, with V-J Day being on the 15th.)

And as for your assumption that the atomic bombings had anything to do with trying to stop the Jews of Europe from being killed, well, this is the only real response to that:

About the Jews, it was the mod BrianSoddingBoru4 who claimed that:

https://atheistforums.org/thread-61515-p...pid1994949

As for the droppings memory, the west loves to commit murders then cry and walk in the funeral of those it killed, it became such a repeated tactic that it became so hilarious, Arabs are fond of this childish yet evil behavior that we have a saying describing it:

ضربني وبكى سبقني واشتكى
He hit me and cried then preceded me and complained

So the west builds an atom bomb, but also makes a UN.
Then the west invades, but also bribes the officials in the invaded land
Then the west sells weapons to rebels but also does so for the government of that land

War economy.
Or He hit me and cried then preceded me and complained

But the cheap act -which is worthy of Gog and Magog- can only last for short, short periods.

He admitted no such thing

Quote:Now we go to you; your people payed taxes and supported the most evil invention ever created on earth; then held the whole world a hostage by detonating that WMD on the head of Japan.
Our people payed taxes to build a weapon that every other government involved in the war was pursuing that ended the most devastating in history against ideology of all time . A weapon that saved millions from the meat grinder of invading the japanese mainland. And no one held the world hostage you dounce

Quote:The idiots didn't even know how to protect it well; now the whole world developed its own versions of the weapon; lol.
Military secrets are impossible to hide and considering multiple powers were pursuing the bomb it would have been long till someone figured it out .

Quote:That's what happens when you give a group of cowboys rifles. They kill the whole town then shoot their own feet too.
As opposed to you who just shootings it in the air yelling till a drone strike happens  Razz

Quote:As for the droppings memory,
This wording makes no sense

Quote:the west loves to commit murders then cry and walk in the funeral of those it killed,

Nope the west ends wars then mourns the people it was forced to kill to end them

Quote: it became such a repeated tactic that it became so hilarious
That the west mourns the deaths it's forced into having to cause . Glad you find dead people amusing it tells us all about you .

Quote:Arabs are fond of this childish yet evil behavior that we have a saying describing it:

ضربني وبكى سبقني واشتكى
He hit me and cried then preceded me and complained
Nothing childish or evil about commemorating a war or mourning the dead .

Quote:So the west builds an atom bomb,
The US beats the AXiS to the atomic bomb thus preventing facism for conquering the world and murdering your ungrateful ass

Quote: but also makes a UN.
Yup which has help prevent a third world war and created an outlet to avoid conflicts

Quote:Then the west invades,

Yup the west has done invasions

Quote:but also bribes the officials in the invaded land
Nope

Quote:Then the west sells weapons to rebels but also does so for the government of that land
Going to have to be specific

Quote:War economy.
Or He hit me and cried then preceded me and complained
Or sometimes wars happen

Quote:But the cheap act -which is worthy of Gog and Magog- can only last for short, short periods.
And in coherent blather

Seriously half of this  is incoherent blather  the other is ignorant or short sighted .

Argue with brian on your own time nutter.

My People™ are americans, and you should take a look at the manhattan project to see how many people were involved.  You might find that your people helped.  I have to keep reminding myself that everything you know about western culture comes from movies, and that your source for history is likely to be just as fanciful.

Cowboys? Technocrats and politicians built and employed those weapons..and, ultimately, there was no "protecting" them, because learning how to split an atom is something that any group of people can work out on their own - and that other people were working out on their own.  Even if we could strong-arm the world into not having nukes, should we?  Seems like it would be a hypocritical way to flex our nukes.

Pretty sure you'd bitch about the great western satan and it's jews either way. As other posters have suggested, you should take a look into how the japanese were treating their newly conquered peoples. Our motivation was deeply personal (as a nation) - but it's difficult to argue that the defeat of japan was a bad thing that anyone should be ashamed of.
