For 8 Years No One Heard A Word From Dubya

For 8 Years No One Heard A Word From Dubya
When Obama was in office he maintained a discreet silence.  Now, with the WLB in office, he is suddenly criticizing him.

Quote:‘I don’t like the racism and I don’t like the name-calling’: George W. Bush continues political assault on Trump

Apparently, Dubya appreciates that the WLB has already removed the title "Worst President in History" from his back.

Well, RawStory sure has a knack for hyperbole.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I've always thought Bush seemed like a decent guy, just easily mislead and manipulated by those around him. He was another puppet president.

He spoke out against the Muslim ban, and defended the free press. He even said "“I think it’s very important for all of us to recognize one of our great strengths is for people to be able to worship the way they want to – or not worship at all,” Bush replied. “A bedrock of freedom is the right to worship freely.”

It's amazing, I'm cheering on people like Ex-Prex Bush jr. and Senator McCain. The world has become a strange place.

Right?
He didn't "Slam" 45.  I don't really like Rawstory, it's almost tabloid-ish.

All the same, he clearly thinks 45 is doing a lot of things wrong.

Okay so, do you understand that Raw Story is merely a news compilation service?  They are reporting on an interview he gave to People Magazine and the quote in their headline is verbatim.

The quote is not the hyperbole, Min.

The hyperbole is phrases like "political assault" and "outright slammed."

Surprisingly refreshing to hear from the W again. There is a world of difference between his ignorant but well meaning and Trump's outright vileness.

You know, the sad thing is that the present bigotry against Islam and Hispanics he's rightfully decrying is so omnipresent in the Republican Party today largely because of the shit he did in his eight years as President (no joke, those two demographics were starting to lean towards the Republican side, largely because of similar social views). It's nice to know he's at least feeling sorry for the consequences of all this.

It may make him hypocritical, but it's at least a step up from the shameless jackasses in control now.

Is it strange that I'm actually starting to miss Dubya?

Yes, it's strange but not surprising.

Dubya's administration kept most of the US bureaucracy intact. Trump has so far delivered on his promise to destroy and remove it through his actions and continued rhetoric.

Agreed. If you think about the Republican party is only going to survive after Trump if some big name Republican can stand up now and argue against what's happening. Bush can do this because he's not worried about losing power.

It's like Bush is Darth Vader bringing balance back to the force.

Trump was actually more critical of George Bush and his family then Obama ever was. So it's not surprising really.
