RE: Brahma and Abraham
It's hard to imagine anyone would be. It's a mundane claim with explicit support in multiple religious texts across the dividing line between the two traditions. There's no reason for those people to have repeatedly made the connection in their own magic books and down through centuries had they not felt that there was some there there. and there's no reason for us not to explore than in the context of comp myth and cultural anthropology.

They're stories - we can completely discard any wondering about whether the contents of the narratives are true, because we're not asking ourselves whether old magic books claim that the people of the east got their wisdom from abraham (kind of on the nose in the context of our convo, lol) is true...no more so than we're asking whether some shaman or priest or guru or spiritualists religious claims are true. We're wondering how they came to make those specific claims or proffer those particular details, and particularly those that align to other narrative traditions in contact, and in this case, a mutual literary back and forth through time.

I suspect that we worry about spiritualists claims as a preemptive measure against some other claim they hope to foist on this observation's back. Same with anti-christian atheists.

These two myths are related, and that just shows that everyone is getting messages from the same god. Is a bad argument.
These two myths are related, [i]and that shows that the christian faith is a scam.[i] Is a bad argument.

That the character of abraham stands in for a process by which many pedigreed ideas not native™ to the group that would be abrahams peers, that would one day be canaanite, that would one day be hebrew, that would one day be jewish, were transported both geographically and across cultural lines from their point of origin to their current position as a consequence of theology building, is not. As the wonderful book I recommended seeks to explain from cover to cover - there was a great mixing of ideas in the axial age. That we find so much mixing of ideas between the myth of abraham and the myth of brahma leads us to believe that there was syncretic effort.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Problem is that he hasn't backed this idea up yet. He can go on forever asserting this and that, but repeated assertions no matter how confident does not magically become evidence.

Note he's yet to point to any scholarly work on the matter that is specifically being discussed. He keeps alluding to some mysterious work out there, and talking in generalities, that's about it.

Also, "east" in Genesis isn't referring to India or anything close to that, nor is the verse suggesting what Gae and the OP are suggesting.

Here's some commentaries on Genesis 25:6

Karen Armstrong's The Great Transformation:
https://books.google.com.au/books?id=ImS...&q&f=false

Looks to be an interesting read, so will eventually be purchasing and reading this actually. But in the meantime, just skimming through some of the chapters, I'm not seeing suggestions of a causal/influential link between Brahma and Abraham (as requested) but rather comparisons of ancient traditions in a parallel acausal sense. But the work is there online (maybe not the whole of it, though, not sure), so people can check it to confirm/disconfirm what is being claimed here (if possible).

ETA: This is a preview, not the whole work.

I'm not going to waste my time with someone who's built a pattern of calling me full of shit. You can do the work yourself.
