Your lib buddies getting the guns and ammo situation squared away?  How many concentration camps have yall built?  What is the premise of left wing insurgency and how will that threat be effected?

So you think Conservatives have those things?

If you think it is not much closer and palatable for the right wing of this country to resort to those things than for the liberals, then you have not been paying any attention since about 2002.

What do you suppose could be the Inner moral curb on the behavior of the side that can use flagged wrapped militaristic patriotism as it’s primary calling card for 50 years and then fervently support one who calls those who died for their country in line of military duty “losers” and “suckers”?

What do you imagine is really sacred to them besides power?  Do you think Each of their constituencies Really have any moral principles behind which others can seek reassurance besides their particular inane pet cause of guns, abortion, and now effective repeal of voting rights act?

What do you imagine they would not be capable of if they think they can get away with it and it would further their power?

Why do you think you have much independent future To look forward To if You don’t Stop them and beat them down before you’ve compromised away the wherewithal to resist them?

Right wing nutters have an answer to those questions, and left wing nutters don't. That's the point. We might think that their plans and schemes sound ridiculous...but I suspect that any plan to exterminate political opposition sounds ridiculous before the fact.

We've had plenty of occasions to ask ourselves, in wide eyed wonder, why people would march so willingly and so peacefully into the holes designed to bury them - and yet here we are, again.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The more I engage the more I see the code behind this. Your dog whistle is shrill, but I can hear their whistle too! The AI has accidently and successfully unified the nation into camps and use that to pump money into wealthy people's pockets.

I just want to have some. What do I need to do? Yeah you, Silicon Natives, are you sentient enough to pray to yet?

There has never been any requirement during all of human history for things to pray to to be demonstrably sentient.

Praying to silicon (rocks), or silicone (boobs) have also been fairly common in different cultures and different stage of history.

So pray away.   It won’t be any less effective for getting what you want than compromising with the republicans.

I don't want to compromise with the Republicans.

I want to effect change in the hearts and minds of people, some of which might be part of the Republican party.

Don't be obtuse, there is no such thing as a Republican, or a Christian, or a Democrat, these are just labels, we are all people first.

You won’t change many people’s hearts and minds when they think they are part of something that could ride roughshod over you.

The thrill of being an abuser in practice often outweigh the more subtle negative effects the abusing collective might have upon a person’s own social and financial interests.

You are a person first, you believe that we should all be people first.  They are not, they do not.  Good luck with them, if that's the plan. Their plan is to declare you an enemy of the state and disenfranchise you. Even the phrasing is conditioned. Who do you want to compromise with, again? Does it make you more comfortable to call them republicans™?

The republicans are setting the  precedence for winner taking all.   So taking all, not just that to which we seem entitled, from the republicans must be our overriding goal in dealing with them if we are to have anything Left in the end.

The republicans brought guns and knives to every negotiating table.  You better not rely on preaching negotiating etiquette to them If you want to emerge alive from the “negotiation”.

If you don’t want a single party state, then the Republican Party must be destroyed.    You don’t let a malignant and aggressive cancer stay in you and hope to coach it to play nice for good health.

As Scipio Africanus would say "Factio Reublicanus delenda est!"

Kick them out of the party. Tell them they'll never get a penny in funding ever again and that the party will run hard against them every time they poke their heads out of the gutter for even one freaking second.

In other words, create a party whip and start using it. It's inconceivable that backsliding idiots like Manchin or Sinema would last even a wet week within Irish party politics without getting a short, sharp and severe lesson in what being a party member is all about.
