Winning on Ebay

Winning on Ebay
Sometimes Ebay sucks ass.

Other times - it's great.

...

I do a lot of food storage. I buy chicken and pork in bulk, then vacuum seal it and put it in the freezer. I butcher my own venison and do the same. Been doing it for decades.

Consequently - I have worn out a few Seal a Meal type units. Most of them only last a year or so - or operate marginally even new.

So I was delighted when we bought an older (obsolete) Kenmore unit at a garage sale a few years back - for $10. It has worked great. What I always fear - is it will die in the middle of deer season - and I would be forced to run out and buy whatever was available.

Then I found one - the exact older Kenmoore - at "buy now" for $33. So I took a chance and ordered it.

It showed up today - with the box caved in on one end....

Grrrrrrr...

I took a bunch of pictures first - then opened the box.

.....

The seller - must have experience with USPS.... They used a LOT of padding. The unit is intact.

Next thing - try it.

Works perfectly..

Yay...

I have a backup.

Cool

I don't shop eBay much anymore. Most of the stuff going on eBay is no cheaper than retail. Good for you finding a good deal that worked out.

(And of course, I don't but get the words out of my mouth before I find a deal on eBay.)

I didn't think they still existed. I haven't been to ebay in many years.
