I kept an encrypted Excel spreadsheet with my login and passwords for my regularly visited sites. Every time I update it I mail a copy to myself. I also mail the password to another site. You would have to be very good at word search to figure it out.

I have a password manager and a passphrase for it and other ... security stuff levied towards the password manager. Everything else I keep written down. I don't trust computers/smartphones that much.

I once had a 3 hour drive to fix a machine, arrived on site, turned it off and on again.... worked perfectly, and this machine was in the customers IT office! (to add insult to injury they moaned because I parked in the "wrong" place!) Then a 3 hour drive back! Happy days!
