There is a precedent for such a state. It wasn't pretty.

There is a precedent for such a state. It wasn't pretty. I was going to bring up Ceaucescu’s Romania, but that seems to have hit the nail on the head. At any rate, if you want to imagine what life for women is going to be like under a strict one-party Republican system, watch 4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days.
To be fair, it seems like what the Republicans want is an ever-shifting mix between Gilead, Galt’s Gulch, and the west of Blood Meridian, so it’s possible that the simple act of trying to put an image to their desires is meaningless.

They could be ferengis but for having less scruples, less cunning, less principles, less humanity, and more lust for power.
Find any loathsome character that seem to represent some aspect of the republicans, and you will find that character puts far too endearing a face on what republicans really are.
