This is why Biden needs to drop this unity crap.
You can't unify with people who want to flush democracy down the toilet.

Stop pretending you can reason with republicans.

I very much doubt this law will pass. If it does, as soon as it looks like Democrats might control the Arizona legislature, look for Republicans to repeal it with a speed that’ll make a Supreme Court confirmation look like a leisurely stroll.

If you honestly and in good faith took the "I will represent everyone in America, not just Democrats" as "I will enact Republican priorities as well as Democratic ones" rather than a rebuke to the "Michigan doesn't get timely COVID relief or PPE because they elected a Democrat who opposes me" or any of the nearly constant stream of division coming from the previous administration, then yes.

He lied to you.

You took the dumbest possible interpretation and tried to make a point. Good job buddy.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Sorry... It's all humans. Fucked up, damaged, deluded humans.

You ain't special. Neither is your politics.

I guess oversimplifying things make them easier to accept? I'm trying to think of reasons why you have such conviction about something you clearly haven't spent much time thinking about in detail.

Remember this is the same guy who thinks raising the minimum wage causes inflation to go up despite all the evidence to the contrary,And thinks population control will stop lessen climate change.

This isn't a law that allows heterosexual marriage and same sex marriage. This is a law that is designed to lock in power to one party.

Elections are about competing for votes. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Name me one President in the past 50 years, or Presidential candidate that didn't eventually concede and congratulate the winner? That law is basically saying they don't trust the voters.

This is about the GOP trying to move the country to a fascist state, because those old white men who run the party fear shifting demographics. Instead of trying to cheat, they should adapt, and come up with new ideas to compete with. They have no new ideas, so this is all they have left.

Some politicians do act out of self interests, but you are not going to get away with the fallacy of equivocation. The two parties are NOT the same.

It wasn't in Hillary's interests for Biden to certify Trump's win in 2016, nor was it a benefit to Democrats when VP Biden certified Trump as the winner in 16, but he did his job. It also was not in VP Pence's interest to certify Biden as the winner, but he did his job, and for doing that, Pence became a target for murder.

From my perspective from over the sea I think that the republicans are made up exclusively of immoral power hungry conspiracy believing white supremecist fascist aresholes and the other democrats  might want some power.

Basic rule of thumb. If the the party has supporters marching carrying swastikas, they are the bad guys.
