First, Brian37 of all people gets his poem censored, and now you can't use a symbol which has been used by thousands of cultures and many still to this day? Unless he's specifically posting the Nazi version, that's quite silly. Even the ADL said in 2010 that they no longer consider the swastika to automatically be an anti-Jewish hate symbol.

Brian's poem got 'censored' because he used a word that is disallowed by the forum rules. There are certain words which are allowed to be used here only in bowdlerized form.

I don't give a rat's charbroiled bum what the ADL have to say about swastikas. The ADL don't manage this Forum.

No one here is required to follow the rules. Failure to do so, however, has consequences. I hope this clears it up for you.

It actually is, and demonstrably so. Apathy, rather than antipathy, has been the driver of white supremacist propaganda for a few decades now. It's almost as if teaching our kids not to see race while simultaneously refusing to solve issues that boiled down to race ensured that those problems would continue and be seen to be the natural order of things in a colorblind™ population......

I knew about the N rule but not the swastika one. I was on another atheist forum in the past and a guy had the Indian swastika with the dots around it and it never bothered anyone. The guy that got banned here seems to have had a Bali symbol as his avatar https://i.imgur.com/69vKG6s.png. An Indonesian symbol. Just seems like banning an avatar saying Allahu Akbar. Westerners will think of terrorism when they see this, but Muslims will just think God is great.

Ten years ago, almost no one on any atheist forum cared when N was spelled out. We didn't care about that woke nonsense, and then it took over. Atheism Plus was created, and then Atheism Plus seemed to die out for the most part, but in the end, the woke Atheism Plus ended up winning. We just don't call it that anymore. Rap music is at the top of the charts right now, and the word N is said left and right. It's a normal word in the mainstream of society. It would just be hard to go back to myself ten years ago and think that forums for 'freethinkers' would start censoring words and poetry and art. We turned into the Republicans trying to get rap music banned/censored for being indecent. Just my two cents, but it's cool. The rules are the rules.
