I think a good weapon to use against militias would be for the media to stop referring to them as ‘militias’ and start calling them what they are - domestic terrorists.

When the media was reporting the Michigan Militia had over a million members - (1990's) I was there - and know for a fact there was not even 10,000 members. My best guess? Between 4 and 5 thousand. That is a conservative estimate. It was likely lower.

But - the.media loved them - because they "sold newspapers". 

The militia was a handy boogeyman. Outta control whackos with guns AND THERE'S MILLIONS OF THEM!!!.

But the Washington DC Attorney General let it be known last night that he’s looking to criminally charge Trump for the insurrection. That could be much more important than impeachment.
